A large number of space probes and robots are exploring mars in search of life. Water is the main requirement for the existence of life on any place. The key role of water in existence of life has caused the scientific explorations to look for water on Mars Planet. You may have heard earlier that the water was present in the form of oceans in the ancient Mars and in the form of ice on Continue reading “NASA Confirms the Evidence of Liquid Water on Mars Planet”

NASA Research Suggests Water on Mars Planet was more than Earth’s Arctic Ocean

NASA research suggest that a primitive ocean on Mars held more water than Earth’s Arctic ocean. A six year analysis of water on Mars planet suggests that the Red Planet has lost the equivalent of an ocean’s worth of water over the past four billion years. However a debate has started raising the question of wheather the planet Mars was hot enough to host such an ocean. Reasons for excessive amount of Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere of Venus

The planet Venus is called the sister planet of Earth because it resembles the Earth in many ways but also different in many properties. The structure and size of the planet Venus are similar to the planet Earth. The difference lies in the temperature and composition of the atmosphere. The temperature of Venus is much larger than planet Earth and sufficient to melt lead. The atmosphere of Venus is so dense that the atmospheric pressure is 90 times the atmospheric pressure on Earth. The equivalent pressure on Earth exists in the oceans at the depth of 1 km. Continue reading “Reasons for excessive amount of Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere of Venus”

Eligibility Criteria of planet for Hosting Life

‘Life’ is one of the most mysterious words. The planet Earth is the only known place where life exists. Astronomers are too keen to know about the existence of life on other places than Earth. Lots of new techniques and experiments are done daily to observe the evidence of life outside the planet Earth. Let us look at some basic requirements for the existence of life on any planet or moon. Continue reading “Eligibility Criteria of planet for Hosting Life”

Water outside Earth on the other planets of the solar system

The planet Earth is the only planet where life exists. Water is considered as a vital need for the existence of life on Earth. Earth has water in a large amount which is present in the form of oceans. But the planet Earth is not alone which has water. Other planets and moons also contain water on their surface.
